Welcome to the Oaks Surgery
The Oaks Partnership is very much OPEN, but in the light of the current Coronavirus pandemic we have changed the way we manage our work in order to minimise the risks to our patients and staff. Please do contact the surgery by telephone for medical care; we are providing a telephone / video triage service for patients in the first instance; however, if the clinician feels it appropriate patients will be invited in for a face to face consultation, provided they are free of COVID-19 symptoms. Most of our appointments are now book on the day and can be booked in the morning from 8am and in the afternoon from 2pm. Nursing appointments, routine immunisation clinics, diabetic reviews and other clinics continue as face to face appointments and are bookable in advance.
Patients are also encouraged to use eConsult, our new online way of contacting the practice for medical and administrative assistance. eConsult may be used to arrange a telephone appointment or for advice or self-help information. Patients using this online service will find that their requests are forwarded to the practice where appropriate. They will then be contacted by a member of the medical team. If appropriate, necessary and safe to do so, they may be offered a telephone triage appointment, followed by an appointment to be seen face to face by a clinician at the surgery. Please click on the eConsult button below to gain access to this online option, which is also accessible via the NHS App.
If you need medical help you should still contact your GP Practice by telephone, or if we are not open, please use NHS 111 Online or Call 111. If you are told to go to hospital it is important that you go to hospital.

Face Coverings to Remain in GP Practices
Masks and social distancing rules will remain mandatory in all healthcare settings beyond 19 July, NHS England has confirmed today.
Public Health England’s (PHE) infection prevention control guidelines and hospital visiting guidance are set to remain in place for staff and visitors, even as restrictions are eased elsewhere.
NHSE said today (15 July) that visitors will need to abide these rules in ‘GP practices, dental practices, optometrists and pharmacies to ensure patients and staff are protected’.
